Kindergarten

Peter started Kindergarten on Sept. 7. He was so nervous and excited! Even though he had 2 years of preschool, I was nervous and excited for him. We told him that Kindergarten is different than preschool. He didn't believe us until the 2nd day. He realized he had rules to follow and they were 'strict'. Unfortunately he thought he could push more buttons and ended up in the Principal's office on the 3rd day of school. I guess he talks whenever he wants and doesn't obey the "No Talking" rule during work time. I couldn't believe it. I was so embarrassed. I met with the principal and his teacher last Friday and we have a plan of action to help him. So, he has charts at school and at home to help his behavior. It has worked so far. He has come home the last 2 days with smiley faces. I can't even put into words how nervous I get when I pick him up from school and open his folder. I pray that I'll see smiley faces!!

First day of school!!

They celebrated Labor Day and Patriot's Day!!

While Peter and Jared are at school, we are trying to get into a routine. Addy, Jay-J and I have played with toys and watched Dora and Barney (numerous times). We have also enjoyed playing in our backyard. Here are a few pics:

Football Season Has Arrived!!

Football season has officially arrived! Jared had his first football game as a paid assistant coach!! The key word there is 'paid'!!! Jared's happy that he's coaching football and I'm happy that he's finally getting 'paid' for it!! The Park View Dragons played their first game against Lunenburg on Sept. 3 and lost in the last heartbreaking minute! Below are a few pictures:

He is so cute!!

Somebody's in trouble! :)

He sure loves this game!

We had a bye last week and we are looking forward to this Friday! They play at Colonial Heights. Hopefully we'll pull out a WIN!! Go Dragons!!!

Quick Update

Well, we have internet finally set up at our house in Baskerville, Virginia. That's right, we now live 12 miles from the North Carolina border, 3 hours from Washington DC, 2 hours from Virginia Beach, 18 hours from Fayetteville, AR and 34 hours from Preston, ID. I can't believe we are where we are. I've said it over and over again....I know without a shadow of a doubt that we are suppose to be here. But, I have my moments where I just want to get in the car and drive back to Arkansas. I miss being around family and friends.

Our computer broke in Arkansas so we just got this one and it doesn't have any pictures on it. As soon as we download some, I'll post them.

I can't express how truly proud I am of my husband. He is such an inspiration. I may have graduated college, but I didn't graduate college with a spouse and 3 kids to support. He achieved his goal of being a football coach. Jared (Coach), I love you and I am so proud of you!!!

Peter is growing up so fast. I can't believe he will be starting Kindergarten at Buckhorn Elementary next month on Sept. 7. They don't start school until after Labor Day here. He went to preschool the last 2 years, but I'm worried we haven't prepared him enough for Kindergarten. Peter is now our little football player. He started playing flag football on Monday. It's a whole season out here. He practices 3-4 days a week and his games are on Saturdays. He seems to love it so far. There's about 12 kids on his team. Peter also gets to go to Jared's football practices and 'help'. Some days I'll drop Peter off at one of Jared's practice so he can be around Jared. He loves those days. He's turned into such a daddy's boy!

Addy is still my little princess. She has had a hard time with the move, just like her mama. She turned 3 yrs old right before we moved to Virginia. She is still wearing 2T clothes. She is only 7 pounds heavier than Lil' Jay-J! She absolutely loves her little brother. She refers to him as, "My Jay-J". She loves playing with dolls and make-up. She loves chocolate milk and popsicles and ice cream. When we mention Peter starting school, she wants to be a big girl and go to school too. It's crazy to think she will be starting school in 2 years.

Jay-J is my little man. We have this bond that is like nothing else. When I am having a hard moment, I just look at him and he gives me the biggest smile a 10 month old could possibly give. He is crawling all over the place. His favorite place happens to be the most dangerous, the stairs. He loves 'em!! We turn our heads for a minute and he's at the top of the stairs just laughing at himself. He loves his brother and sister. Peter likes to hold him and swing him in a circle. Jay-J will just giggle away. He really loves food right now. I will feed him his baby food and then go to eat my meal and he will just reach for my food. Of course, he gets it. An example of this is when I made curry the other night. I put some on his tray and he loved it until he realized it was too spicy for him. It was so cute...he wanted some more but didn't like the spice. He would just stick his tongue out and scream. LoL

I love my family more than words can express. They are my reason for living. I am struggling being new in a small town of 4,500 people. I am searching for a hobby to help the time pass. I bought a sewing machine a few months ago but haven't gotten it out yet. I have pictures that need to be organized. So, I just need to buckle down and do something. I'll keep y'all posted!!
