Peter Goes To Preschool

Here are some recent pics to enjoy:

Here we are at Santa Monica Beach! Addy is queen of the castle!

Addy at Dodger Stadium. She's barely taller than the finger.

What a cute couple!! Jared's a little sunburned from the beach earlier.

Peter at the Twin Falls County Fair with his Uncle Mau and Aunt Marie.

Peter riding a motorcycle at the Fair. He had a blast!

We had a lot of fun this summer. We went to Santa Monica Beach and to LA for a Dodger Game in August. It was a pit stop on our way to Twin Falls to visit family. We, me and the kids, were there two weeks. Jared had to go back to Arkansas to start his first week of school and then over Labor Day weekend he flew back and we all drove back to Arkansas. It was a fun trip, but I wished Jared was able to stay with us the whole time.

Well, our little guy has started preschool and loves it. He started this last week and absolutely loves his teacher Miss Debbie. He goes from 7:30am to 2:30pm. I miss him, but I must say that it's been a lot less stressful for me. I've been babysitting temporarily for my Sister-in-law Sam since she recently had a baby. That's right, Lil' Ron has made his way into the world! He was born last Friday. We got a call at 3 in the morning from Ron letting us know that he was holding his little boy. Congratulations Ron and Sam!!

Can I just say kudos to all of you ladies that babysit out of your home. It's a tough thing to do. I have been watching a 4 yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy and a 7 month old baby girl. The baby girl has bad acid reflux and the 3 yr old boy and Peter seem to fight all the time. But since Peter's been going to Preschool, it's been a lot quieter. Addy loves the baby girl. In fact, she just mauls her every time she gets an opportunity. It's been tough lately because of the recent miscarriage. However, it does keep me busy from thinking too much. I hate that my day is shot though. I start babysitting from 7am and the last kid gets picked up at 6pm. So, we eat dinner and give the kids baths and ready for bed and that's my day.

Jared said the other day that he misses time spent with just me and the kids. I must say that I agree. It's so important to us to have family time. So, we squeezed in as much family time as we could yesterday. We went to a pumpkin patch and just spent the entire day together. It was a lot of fun!!

No Heartbeat

So, I have been a terrible blogger recently. A lot has happened and it would take forever to catch up. Therefore, I'll start from the most recent thing that has occurred. I had wanted to wait to post pictures, but there won't be any pictures to post. Jared and I were expecting another baby and I was 14 weeks along. We went in for what we thought was going to be a very happy day because we were going to see how many babies were in my belly.

Come to find out, there was no heartbeat and that even though my gestation was 14 weeks, the fetus had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I had no signs or symptoms of a miscarriage. That was on Monday and on Tuesday, I got a D&C done. It was physically painful, but nowhere near the pain I felt emotionally. I feel for my husband. He is such a good man and I wanted this baby for him as much as I did for me.

So, just like that, there is no baby in my belly any longer. This has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I never thought I would have a miscarriage. But, I hope and pray that I won't have to experience this again. It is pain beyond words.

I am so grateful to the many family and friends that have been there and helped us through this terrible time. I am very especially thankful for my MIL and FIL. They were there the day we found out and was even there next to my hospital bed before my surgery. I know Jared needed them as much as I did. Thanks Pete and Mary. I love you guys!

As for how I am doing right now, I'm making it. I ask Jared what gets him through and he said the thought of having another baby. I'm not there quite yet because I had so badly wanted this baby, but I know I'll get there soon. Peter and Addy are a big help for me. I love my kids so much and I'm so grateful that they are here.

I know Heavenly Father has a plan and I have complete faith in him. I will always ache for my baby, but I know it is His will. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Time for another update. Addy is getting braver and braver everyday when it comes to walking. She's getting bigger and bigger to me. She'll be 1 years old on July 8. I can't believe how much time has flown by. Peter is enjoying his Karate class. We put him in Karate a few weeks ago with the hopes that it'll help his energetic personality. So far, no change yet. We're still crossing our fingers. He loves going to class. He asks every morning if he's going to Karate. Jared is taking classes this summer. He's taking 12 credits. I am excited and proud of him! He'll be done in no time! YEA!! I am doing well. I have the itch right now to go back to school and get my Masters. We'll see how long that itch lasts. Here are some pictures from our trip to Idaho. I know, that was like a month ago. Better late then never, right?!

I love this family picture!

Trip to Idaho

Here's a family picture that was taken when we were at my parent's. We just got back from a family trip to Idaho. It was so much fun! The last time we went out west was Christmas. We had some adventures we could have done without. Like running out of gas and driving in snow between Laramie, WY and Cheyenne, WY. That's right, I said snow! It was on our drive back down to Arkansas and it was 1am and I thought it was rain, but I quickly identified flakes and sure enough we were driving in snow and ice on MAY 26!! The stay in itself was a lot of fun. Aside from the usual like visiting my family and Jared's brother and sisters, I was also able to see some of my old roommates at ISU. We had a roommate reunion and it was a lot of fun. Just like the good ole days. We also went to Boise/Emmett to see the Hill's. It was Clarke's graduation and we met up with the family at Golden Corral. Shalese was there and it was so good to see her and the whole family. As much fun as visiting family and friends was, we were ready to come home and get into the routine. Jared had his first day of summer school today. He has 4 classes this summer. I know he'll do well. Here's the first Kim family picture taken in a long time. Jared likes this picture because it makes him feel really tall. Sorry honey, you're still 5'8"! Love ya!

Bath Time in the Kitchen Sink

Here is Addysen in Poppy and Grandma's kichen sink. Addy's cousin Pepper got chocolate cake all over himself. So Nancy threw him in the kitchen sink. Then Poppy gets the idea to put Addy in there too. So I smothered some cake on her face and threw her in as well. It was so cute to watch them. We would turn off the water and Pepper would turn it back on. Addy was crying at first, but she realized that Pepper was having fun and wanted to laugh herself.

Love Those Kisses

I love this picture. We were at our neighborhood park and Addy couldn't resist grabbing Jared's face and mauling him. Peter joined in because we were laughing so hard. After the park, we went to our mailbox and I must say that we love Netflix. It's so nice to get a movie in the mail. Peter gets so excited. He knows the envelope it comes in. We just watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and we loved it.

Hello to Blogging

Well, here we go. Our first blog. Our family is doing wonderfully. Jared is quickly and diligently going through school. I never imagined when we moved to Arkansas that he would be graduating within just a few years. I guess once he saw that light at the end of the tunnel, he wasn't going to give up. I'm so proud of him. He's been working very full time for a very demanding boss and taking 18 credits at the UofA. He amazes me everyday. I don't know how he does it.

Peter is getting bigger everyday. He is now 3 1/2 years old and "can do it by myself". He's so independent. He loves his baby sister. He's the only one that can get her really laughing. It's so cute to watch.

Addysen is 9 1/2 months. I can't believe she was in my belly a year ago. It's amazing how that all works. She's now crawling and getting into things. She also lets us know she's not happy when we redirect her to play with something safer. She knows what she wants. Her personality is a lot like Jared's. She's very laid back and likes to observe her surroundings.

I am doing well. I am currently working as an independent contractor for the newspaper. I delivery the newspaper to hotels on the weekends and delivery a spanish paper on Thursdays. It only asks for 10 or so hours a week, but it has allowed us to buy a home in Fayetteville. We're working on it allowing Jared to quit his job and completely focus on school. Hopefully that will happen soon. Even though I work very part time, I feel like I'm a stay-at-home mom. I love it! I never thought I would, but I get to play with my kiddos everyday!

Please bear with me as I get to know this blogging world. It definitely looks fun. Until next time...
